Hi everyone! We are totally humbled by the response we received to our debut album, "The Darkness In Devotion". As a new band, you never know what to expect when you release music, let alone a whole album. Our single, "Playhouse", has made a bigger impact than we ever expected, being heard by tens of thousands of listeners on youtube, leading many to become fans who are now following us on Facebook, Spotify, Apple Music, etc. If any of you are reading this now, welcome! We are glad to have you here!
A couple media outlets have also recognized Playhouse, and wrote up some great features. Check them out here:
A couple radio stations have also picked us up in the last couple weeks! The first is a radio station in the UK. Metal Mayhem Radio featured Playhouse on their "Saturday Late Breakfast" radio show, which features new artists. You can listen here:
88.3WLFC in Findlay, Ohio picked up two of our songs for their regular rotation. They will be playing "Practice or Pretend (Feel It)" and "Get To You (Radio Edit)". If you don't live in the Findlay, Ohio area, you can listen online at there website here:
We are grateful to have received a couple album reviews this past week. Again, as an artist, especially having never released any music before, you never know how your art will be received. To read the words in the following articles truly made us feel incredible. We wrote these songs for ourselves, first and foremost, but to see that other people can enjoy them as much as we do, inspires us to continue doing what we love! Check them out below!
So obviously, we've been paying attention to streaming stats, numbers, etc. throughout the first week of our release, and we've noticed some cool and interesting trends. Listeners on Apple Music have been jamming different songs than listeners on Spotify. Check out some of the stats below, and vote on your favorite song in our new weekly poll on our Blog and Social page.

When we started writing this album, we had no idea that we'd be recording it. When we first started our social media and website, we had no idea if people would be reading what we shared on them. When we released our music, we had no idea if people would care to listen. The support you all have shown us is more than we could have ever hoped for at this point, and we thank you for that! If we could though, we'd like to ask you all just one favor. If you know of anyone that you think might like our music, please share us with them. We'd of course like to keep making music, as it's our greatest passion, and the best way for us to do that, is if we are connecting with more and more friends like you, everyday, that connect with our music. You can help us do that, and we notice and appreciate all of you that are already helping us do just that!
We'd also like to thank everyone involved in making this record a reality. Everyone involved in the recording process, artwork, videos, promotion, etc. A lot of hours go into independent releases and we didn't do it alone! Here are some of the people that helped us along the way: Nick Nodurft, Tessa Lebaron, Mike Kalajian, Steven Pintingolo, Mike Kenway, Luis Escalera, Jenifer Hayes, Brandon Morgan, Tracey Arbon, and Mark Winder. Most of all thank you to all of our fans, family, and friends that support us by buying, streaming, and sharing our music!
Coming in 2019 for Other Son, we will be focusing on finding a full band. We really want to bring a live show to our local fans and meet new fans here in Colorado. Of course, we'd also like to venture out into other parts of the country as well, but only time will tell if that is possible. We will be working as hard as we can to grow this band as much as possible over the next year, using our new release as a foundation for said growth. We might even record and release a song or two while we are at it. We'll keep you posted :)
